Title |
RNA-seq assessment of quadriceps muscle and brown adipose tissue in PPARGC1A uORF-TAA mice |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We report a mutant mouse in which the uORF encoded by the PPARGC1A gene is disrupted via mutation of its start codon (uORF-TAA mutation). RNA-seq was used to assess differential gene expression in uORF-TAA versus wild-type mice in two metabolically important tissues that express PPARGC1A: skeletal mucle and brown adipose tissue.

Overall design |
mRNA was purified from quadriceps or brown adipose tissue of 10-week old male mice. Wild-type mice (n=4) and littermate uORF-TAA homozygous mice (n=4) were compared.
