Title |
Bioenergetic control of synaptic plasticity by astrocytes during acute stress |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Aldh1l1CreERT2-RiboTag mice were used to purify and sequence astrocyte actively translated mRNAs from acute stress mouse models (20 minute forced swim) and non stressed controls.

|
Overall design |
Four weeks after tamoxifen injection, somatosensory cortex was homogenized and RNA was purified from (i) cleared lysate as the input and control, and (ii) astrocyte-specific ribosome-associated RNA precipitated via a hemagglutinin (HA) tag. Stress mouse astrocyte transcriptomes were compared to non stressed.
