Title Bioenergetic control of synaptic plasticity by astrocytes during acute stress
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Aldh1l1CreERT2-RiboTag mice were used to purify and sequence astrocyte actively translated mRNAs from acute stress mouse models (20 minute forced swim) and non stressed controls.

Overall design Four weeks after tamoxifen injection, somatosensory cortex was homogenized and RNA was purified from (i) cleared lysate as the input and control, and (ii) astrocyte-specific ribosome-associated RNA precipitated via a hemagglutinin (HA) tag. Stress mouse astrocyte transcriptomes were compared to non stressed.
