Summary |
Given the role of lncRNAs and mRNAs in tumor pathogenesis, we set out to identify transcripts that potentially drive colorectal tumorigenesis. In this study, we will use the microarray analysis to study the differences of the expression profiles of lncRNA and mRNA in colorectal cancer tissues, analyzing the differentially expressed genes by GO/KEGG enrichment, and predicting the new lncRNAs’ function.

Overall design |
To detect the lncRNA/mRNA expression profiles in 10 colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues and their corresponding normal-appearing tissues (NATs) by human lncRNA/mRNA expression profile chips and to identify the differentially expressed lncRNA/mRNA between CRC and their corresponding NATs based on the chip data. In this way, this study provided the basis for identifying novel CRC biomarkers and further studying the roles and functions of differentially expressed lncRNA/mRNA in CRC. The function of the differentially expressed lncRNA/mRNA were analyzed by bioinformatic methods.
