Title |
Niche-specific factors dynamically regulate sebaceous gland stem cells during skin homeostasis and aging |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We deleted different Notch pathway components in different sub-compartments of mouse skin, and performed RNA-seq to assess differentially regulated genes, 10 weeks after deletion.

Overall design |
Mice were injected with tamoxifen at 8 weeks of age to delete either Rbpj (R) or Notch1 (N) in the skin. Cre drivers were K14-CreERT (K) and Lrig1-CreERT2 (L). Dorsal skin in telogen phase was harvested, isolated away from dermis, and extracted for total RNA by Qiagen RNeasy kit, 10 weeks post-tamoxifen. LR = Lrig1-CreERT2+Rbpj-deletion; KR = K14-CreERT+Rbpj-deletion; N = K14-CreERT1+Notch1-deletion. All 3 mutant strains had matched controls (Cont) from the same batch/litter.
