Title |
Next generation sequening on control salivary submandibular glands versus glands from mice with an epithelial deletion in SOX10 via the Cre-Flox system |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We report sequencing data on fetal mouse submandibular glands (SMGs) where SOX10 was deleted in the epithelia. By obtaining embryonic day 16 (E16) SMGs, we compared control glands with glands where SOX10 was deleted in the epithelial compartment. We found that loss of SOX10 resulted in smaller glands, which had reduced expression of genes related to the initiation of acinar, myoepithelial and intercalated duct cells.
