Title |
Diethyldithiocarbamate, an anti-abuse drug, alleviates steatohepatitis and fibrosis in rodents |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
C57BL/6 mice received methionine/choline deficient (MCD) diet to establish the model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with or without Diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) treatment. DDC improves hepatic steatosis, ballooning, inflammation and fibrosis in rodent models of NAFLD through modulating lipid metabolism and oxidative stress.
