Title |
Gene expression profiling of myofibroblasts in young and aged day 5 wound beds |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Mesenchymal cells were isolated from day 5 dorsal skin wound beds of 7-weeks old and >24-months old using FACS. This experiment describes multiple unique subsets of wound bed myofibrolbasts capable of contributing to tissue repair.

Overall design |
Myofibroblast subsets were isolated by FACS. Cells were sorted based on CD34 and CD29 expression, where APs are CD34+ and CD29+; CD29 cells have high levels of CD29; and DN is CD34- and CD29 Low.
