Low-salt diet effect on the heart

Analysis of hearts from animals on a low-salt diet for two weeks. Reduced sodium intake inversely correlates with cardiac mortality in hypertensive patients. Results provide insight into the molecular basis of the detrimental effect of low-salt diets on the heart.
