Single-cell RNA sequencing atlas from a bivalve larva enhances classical cell lineage studies

(Submitter supplied) Here, we report on the gene expression profile of individual cells of the trochophore larva of the invasive freshwater bivalve Dreissena rostriformis as inferred from single cell RNA sequencing. We generated transcriptomes of 632 individual cells and identified seven transcriptionally distinct cell populations. The Expression Profiles of Zebra Mussel Byssus Genes along Byssogenesis

(Submitter supplied) To identify the expression profiles of zebra mussel byssus unique genes with the regeneration of the byssal threads, a time-course study was performed. The RNA samples from the feet of fully attached zebra mussels (maintained attachment for more than 4 weeks) were extracted as common reference. The detached mussels were allowed to re-attach on underwater surface. Zebra mussel byssus cDNA microarray

(Submitter supplied) 716 E.coli clones were selected from thirty-four 96-well plates and re-arranged into eight new 96-well plates. The overnight cultures from the eight 96-well plates were used to prepare the PCR templates. 10 μl of each bacterial culture was taken to mix with 90 μl sterile double distilled water. Then the mixture was incubated at 100 ℃ for 10 minutes followed by 15 minutes 1200g centrifuge. The supernatant was used as PCR templates. more...
