(Submitter supplied) DNA methylation is a conserved epigenetic mark important for genome integrity, development and environmental responses in plants and mammals. Active DNA demethylation in plants is initiated by a family of 5mC DNA glycosylases/lyases (i.e. DNA demethylases).
