ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 205925). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with KCNQ2-related conditions. This variant is present in population databases (rs766755499, gnomAD 0.01%). This sequence change replaces glutamine, which is neutral and polar, with arginine, which is basic and polar, at codon 646 of the KCNQ2 protein (p.Gln646Arg).
