Published functional studies demonstrate a damaging effect as the variant is not localized to the plasma membrane and fails to bind RD3, inhibiting complex formation (Zulliger R et al., 2015); Not observed at significant frequency in large population cohorts (gnomAD); In silico analysis supports that this missense variant has a deleterious effect on protein structure/function; This variant is associated with the following publications: (PMID: 25477517, 10951519)
