Description

The c.1979G>T (p.R660L) alteration is located in exon 10 (coding exon 10) of the AGRN gene. This alteration results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 1979, causing the arginine (R) at amino acid position 660 to be replaced by a leucine (L). Based on data from gnomAD, the T allele has an overall frequency of 0.001% (3/237176) total alleles studied. The highest observed frequency was 0.003% (3/106828) of European (non-Finnish) alleles. This amino acid position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. This alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
