Floatation-REST vs. Film condition
Feinstein et al. (2018) 9

RCT, crossover

Adults with high levels of anxiety sensitivity

After 90-minute treatment, participants in both groups reported improvement in serenity (measured with PANAS-X), but the magnitude of change was statistically significantly larger in the float condition compared to the film condition (P < 0.001). The results were reported graphically only.

PANAS-X = Positive and Negative Affect Schedule Expanded Form; RCT = randomized controlled trial; REST = Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy.
