Floatation-REST vs. Film condition
Feinstein et al. (2018) 9

RCT, crossover

Adults with high levels of anxiety sensitivity

After 90-minute treatment, participants in both groups reported reduction in muscle tension (measured with VAS), but the magnitude of change was statistically significantly larger in the float condition compared to the film condition (P < 0.001). The results were reported graphically only.

RCT = randomized controlled trial; REST = Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy; VAS = visual analogue scale.
