Diagnostic criteria for Doose syndrome (idiopathic EM-AS)91

Inclusion criteria
  1. Normal development prior to the onset of seizures and normal MRI
  2. Onset of myoclonic, myoclonic-atonic or atonic seizures between 7 months and 6 years of age
  3. Normal background EEG with 2–3 Hz GSWD without consistent focal spikes
Exclusion criteria
  1. Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, benign myoclonic epilepsy in infancy or other epileptic syndromes manifesting with myoclonic-astatic seizures
  2. Tonic seizures
