Sample GSM879160 Query DataSets for GSM879160
Status Public on Dec 06, 2012
Title Osteosarcoma cell line IOR/OS10
Sample type RNA

Source name Osteosarcoma cell line
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics cell line: IOR/OS10
cell type: Osteosarcoma
sample origin: Primary tumour
gender: female
age (yrs): 10
Biomaterial provider Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli
Growth protocol The osteosarcoma cells were grown in RPMI1640 (Lonza, Basel, Switzerland) or DMEM (Lonza) supplemented with 10 % foetal calf serum (PAA Laboratories GmbH, Pasching, Austria), GlutaMAX (Invitrogen, California, USA) and penicillin/streptomycin (Lonza), at 37°C with 5 % CO2. All cells were split when reaching 80 % confluency. The osteoblast cells were maintained in medium provided by the manufacturer, split when reaching 80 % confluency, and harvested when enough cells for DNA and RNA isolation were obtained.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol RNA was isolated using the standard TRIzol procedure (Invitrogen), and further purified with an RNeasy mini column (Qiagen GmbH, Hilden, Germany), according to the manufacturers’ instructions.
Label Biotin
Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA was prepared with the Ambion MessageAmp kit for Illumina arrays

Hybridization protocol Standard Illumina hybridization protocol
Scan protocol Standard Illumina scanning protocol
Description Osteosarcoma cell line IOR/OS10 Illumina HumanWG-6 Expression BeadChip version 2
Data processing The data was vst transformed and normalised using quantile normalisation in R
