Study: RNA-sequencing of dephostatin-treated Salmonella
show Abstracthide Abstract
We report the effect of dephostatin treatment on the Salmonella transcriptome. High-throughput sequencing was used to quantify transcript levels under different growth conditions. Overall design: Salmonella was grown in the presence of dephostatin and DMSO in SPI-2 inducing (LPM) and non-inducing (LB) media types. RNA was isolated and sequenced to quantify differential gene expression induced by dephostatin treatment.

Library:
Instrument: Illumina HiSeq 2000
Strategy: RNA-Seq
Source: TRANSCRIPTOMIC
Selection: cDNA
Layout: SINGLE
Construction protocol: RNA was extracted with Trizol-chloroform separation, precipitated with isopropanol, washed with 75% ethanol, then treated with Dnase I. Purified total RNA was treated with RiboZero for rRNA depletion and strand-specific dUTP sequencing was performed on an Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform to obtain single-end reads.
