Muscle growth at different developmental stages are a potentially good model for studying the mechanism underlying muscle development and phenotypes differences. However, no studies focused on the lncRNAs at extreme growth rate based on growth curve.The aim of this study was to identify differentially expressed genes that are linked to phenotypic differentiation (eg. grow rate, meat quality) between the inflection point and plateau phase. Overall design: lncRNA profiles of porcine skeletal muscles were generated by deep sequencing, in triplicate, using Illumina Hi-Seq 4000.
