Study: Transcriptome analysis of Bifidobacterium adolescentis P2P3 cultivated with resistant starch
show Abstracthide Abstract
RNA-seq based transcriptome analysis was employed to understand the genome-wide expression patterns under cultivation with resistant starch (RS). To identify differentially expressed genes, we compared RS-induced transcriptome to non-RS transcriptome as sole carbon source. Overall design: Eight libraries constructed: Each two replicates of growth conditions (GLC, SS, GRS, and RS ) in Bifidobacterium adolescentis P2P3
Sample: GRS_rep2

Instrument: Illumina HiSeq 4000
Strategy: RNA-Seq
Source: TRANSCRIPTOMIC
Selection: cDNA
Layout: PAIRED
Construction protocol: 1 ml of each culture centrifuged and total RNA was prepared using RNeasy Midi kit (Qiagen, Valencia, CA, USA) according to the manufacturer's protocols. A MICOBExpressTM bacterial mRNA enrichment kit (Ambion, Austin, TX, USA) was used to remove bacterial rRNA from the total RNA samples. Eight libraries for RNA-seq were prepared using the Illumina TruSeqTM RNA sample prep kit with the standard low-throughput protocol. Sequencing was performed on an Illumina HiSeq4000 instrument.
