Design: Pleuropodia were dissected from embryos of Schistocerca gregaria at indicated age (day) in phosphate buffer saline (PBS), then frozen in liquid nitrogen. Total RNA was extracted using Trizol, quantified using Nanodrop and transported using a bicycle to the Eastern Sequence and Informatics Hub (EASIH; Cambridge, UK) for library preparation and sequencing.
