Study: Genome wide analysis of the upper lumbar spinal cord at 4 days after T9 hemisection injury
show Abstracthide Abstract
The goal of this study is to elucidate the influence of hemisection injury at thoracic spinal cord (T9) on the upper transcriptome of the upper lumbar spinal cord at acute phase. mRNA profiles of spinal cord at 4 days-post injury and before injury were generated. 72 Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs) were observed. Our study represents the detailed analysis of transcriptomes of spinal cord distal to the hemisected lesion at acute phase, with biologic replicates, generated by RNA-seq technology. Overall design: The effect of spinal cord injury on the transcriptome of intact upper spinal cord was investigated.
