SRX23883747: Shotgun metagenomics of soils from a TX rainfall gradient after release from long-term drought
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 49.2M spots, 14.9G bases, 4.6Gb downloads

Design: Total genomic DNA was extracted from two 0.25g aliquots using DNeasy Power Soil Kits (Qiagen, Germantown, MD, USA) and combined, then quantified fluorometrically, and normalized to 0.5 ng/L. Libraries were prepared following Baym et al. (2015 PLoS ONE https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0128036) using Nextera adapters and sequenced (2 150 bp) with Illumina NovaSeq 6000 at the NC State University Genome Sequencing Lab., Adapters: N711, S503

Study: Soil shotgun metagenomics across a TX rainfall gradient after release from long-term drought
show Abstracthide Abstract
To examine how soil microbial communities recover from drought, we examined the shotgun metagenome of soils collected seasonally across the Edwards Plateau in central Texas during an El Nino year.
