4 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) runs: 23.5M spots, 3.7G bases, 2.4Gb downloads

Design: Normalized cDNA library developed from polyA-selected leaf tissue from the species Silene paradoxa, an angiosperm plant in the family Caryophyllaceae.
Submitted by: University of Virginia
Study: Comparative transcriptomics within the genus Silene
show Abstracthide Abstract
Angiosperm plants within the genus Silene are extensively used in evolutionary and ecological research. As a result, the number of genomic resources for the group has been steadily increasing. Here, using Illumina technology, we sequenced and characterized eight transcriptomes from normalized cDNA libraries encompassing five Silene species (including three populations from S. vulgaris) and once species from the closely related genus Agrostemma.
Sample: Generic sample from Silene paradoxa
