show Abstracthide AbstractAngiosperm plants within the genus Silene are extensively used in evolutionary and ecological research. As a result, the number of genomic resources for the group has been steadily increasing. Here, using Illumina technology, we sequenced and characterized eight transcriptomes from normalized cDNA libraries encompassing five Silene species (including three populations from S. vulgaris) and once species from the closely related genus Agrostemma.
