5-aza-2''-deoxycytidine is an inducer of DNA demethylation. The 'Granny Smith' fruits removed from the bags showed red pigmentation after 5-aza-2''-deoxycytidine treatment. The data obtained from RNA sequencing will help us to clarify the regulatory mechanisms of 5-aza-dC-treatment-induced colouration of 'Granny Smith'
