SRX13518823: Transcriptome Analysis provides insights into photoperiod mediated bet-carotene accumulation in XIS cucumber

Design: Cucumber genotypes SWCC8 and CC3 were subjected to short day (8L/16D) and neutral 12l/12D). The treatments were marked as XS- rep. short day SWCC8, XN- rep Day neutral SWCC8 . CS- rep. short day CC3, CN- rep day neutral CC3. Female flowers were marked at the day of anthesis, and three typical fruits per plant were sampled at 10, 20, 30 and 40 DAA for RNA sequencing in each replicate. Sequencing was done on Illumina HiSeqTM 2500 platform at the Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI, Shenzhen, China). The construction of the library and Illumina sequencing were performed according to a method previously described (Cheng et al., 2013). RNA integrity was assessed using the RNA Nano 6000 Assay Kit of the Bioanalyzer 2100 system (Agilent Technologies, CA, USA). Total RNA was used as input material for the RNA sample preparations.
