Design: A pooled sample of 2 adult female Theridion grallator spiders of the plain "Yellow" morph were subject to RNA-seq. The animals were starved for > 3 days, flash frozen at -80C, total RNA extracted using an RNeasy kit (Qiagen) and Illumina paired end non-strand specific RNA-seq libraries prepared following the manufacturers instructions.

Assembly of the transcriptome of the highly color polymorphic spider Theridion grallator. Based upon both RNA-seq and normalized cDNA sequence data from adult female spiders in order to capture as many expressed genes as possible. The data comes from two pools of 2 animals each (one pool of "Yellow", one pool of "Colored" animals) with the primary aim of detecting pigment pathway associated transcripts.
