show Abstracthide AbstractThe green rice leafhopper, Nephotettix cincticeps (Uhler) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) (GRH) is one of the most important pests of rice plant in temperate regions of East Asia including Japan. Like other hemipteran insects, GRH pierce and suck with stylets phloem and xylem sap of rice plant. Although recent studies suggest that some components of salivary should play important roles on feeding, the detailed function of salivary component remains unclear. The goal of the project is understanding of salivary components function by transcriptome analyses of N.cincticeps.
