A new Clostridium bacterium, strain HV4-5-A1G,participating in the anaerobic digestion of cropbiomass, was isolated from a mesophilic two-stagelaboratory-scale leach-bed biogas reactor system. Thesequencing of its genome using Illumina NextSeq 500technology has allowed to determine the accuratetaxonomic position of the isolate and to shed light onits functional role.
