SRX17430669: Target capture of fireweed: leaf material
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 2.4M spots, 670.8M bases, 215.9Mb downloads

Design: Shotgun libraries were prepared from genomic DNA using the QIAseq FX DNA Library UDI-A Kit (96) adjusted for use on the Echo Acoustic Liquid Handler. Libraries were captured using a myBaits Angiosperms 353 kit following manufacturer's instructions.

Study: Sequence capture data for Senecio madagascariensis (fireweed) and relatives
show Abstracthide Abstract
The fireweed or Senecio inaequidens - Senecio madagascariensis complex is a group of six closely related species from southern Africa, three of which are considered to be invasive in various parts of the world. Due to their morphological plasticity, taxonomists in the introduced ranges have often struggled with verification of what species are locally present, hampering research into management options. The present study produced a first sequence capture dataset using the Angiosperms353 bait kit of four fireweed species, S. inaequidens, S. madagascariensis, S. skirrhodon, and S. harveianus, to resolve uncertainty in one invasion area and to provide a framework for future expansion of geographic and taxonomic coverage.
Sample: Captured with myBaits Angiosperms 353 kit: Standard plant (TruSeq 8 bp blockers, 24 hr hybridisation at 65degC)
