SRX689014: Draft Genome Sequencing of E. miricola ATCC 33958
1 LS454 (454 GS Junior) run: 221,151 spots, 121.3M bases, 255.3Mb downloads

Design: E. miricola ATCC 33958 whole genome DNA was sequenced using two combined runs from a Roche 454 GS Junior Sequencing Instrument using standard Roche protocols and all Roche reagents. Roche Genome Assembler (Newbler) version 2.7 was used to create contigs. Contigs were aligned to Elizabethkingia meningoseptica for approximate ordering.

Study: Elizabethkingia miricola draft genome sequencing
show Abstracthide Abstract
Elizabethkingia miricola is an opportunistic pathogen with a non-specific taxon designation. See: Kim KK et al. 2005. Transfer of Chyrseobacterium meningosepticum and Chryseobacterium miricola to Elizabethkingia gen. nov. as Elizabethkingia meningoseptica comb. nov. and Elizabethkingia miricola comb. nov. Int. J. Sys. Evol. Microbiol. 55:1287-1293. This study uses whole genome phylogeny to define Elizabethkingia miricola as distinct from E. meningoseptica, and E. anophelis.
Sample: Elizabethkingia miricola draft genome sequenced at OSU using pyrosequencing and used to determine taxon identity.
