SRX550548: Basidioascus undulatus genome sequencing
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2500) run: 6.1M spots, 1.2G bases, 889.2Mb downloads

Design: Performed on an Illumina HiSeq 2500 with TrueSeq V3 chemistry at the National Research Council Canada (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada).
Submitted by: University Of Ottawa
Study: Basidioascus undulatus strain:DAOM 241956 Genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
Basidioascus undulatus is a heat resistant and xerotolerant soil basidiomycete placed in a newly erected order Geminibasidiales under the class Wallemiomycetes. Fungi in the Geminibasidiales have unusual morphology and life cycle development, physiology, and largely unknown biology. Therefore, B. undulatus was selected as the model organism for genome sequencing and analysis in order to gain further insight into the basic biology of fungi in the Geminibasidiales.
