show Abstracthide AbstractBasidioascus undulatus is a heat resistant and xerotolerant soil basidiomycete placed in a newly erected order Geminibasidiales under the class Wallemiomycetes. Fungi in the Geminibasidiales have unusual morphology and life cycle development, physiology, and largely unknown biology. Therefore, B. undulatus was selected as the model organism for genome sequencing and analysis in order to gain further insight into the basic biology of fungi in the Geminibasidiales.
