show Abstracthide AbstractCoxiella burnetii is the causative agent of the zoonotic disease Q-fever, which is endemic in most parts of the world. Six draft genome sequences of C. burnetii isolated in the United Kingdom are presented. These include one human heart valve isolate, and five isolates from ruminants including cattle, sheep and goat. These represent the first whole genome sequences from the UK and their availability will increase our understanding of global genetic diversity of this pathogen.
