SRX2739740: Metatranscriptomics of microbial phototropic mat growing at 58 centigrades
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 33.1M spots, 4.1G bases, 1.9Gb downloads

Design: Microbial mats growing at 66 58 and 48 °C were sampled using a cork borer with a diameter of 7 mm. Cores 1 cm thick were collected in triplicate at noon (12:00 h PM) for DNA and RNA (metagenomic/metatranscriptomic) analyses.

Study: Phototropic microbial mat metagenomics and metatranscriptomic over a temperature gradient in Porcelana hot springs (Chile, Los lagos)
show Abstracthide Abstract
Here we use a metagenomic and metatranscriptomics approach over a temperature gradient in Porcelana Hot Spring to characterize the microbial and viral community of a phototropic microbial mat.
