Study: Genome sequencing and assembly of relic peas symbionts
show Abstracthide Abstract
Vicia alpestris is endemic plant, which grows in Caucasus Mountains region: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia and Russian Federation. Since V. alpestris plants grow in hard-to-reach habitats at altitudes of 2700-3300m their microsymbionts were not studied until recent time. Some of these isolates fom V.alpestris nodules are similar to the evolutionary advanced forms like Rhizobium leguminosarum, other to evolutionary early symbionts (Bosea, Tardiphaga etc).
Sample: Bosea sp. strain Tri-44
