Design: Total gDNA was extracted from cultures of Peranema trichophorum strain CCAP 1260/1B following Lang and Burger (2007). A sequencing library was made using a TruSeq DNA Library Prep Kit (Illumina). Culturing, DNA isolation, sequencing, and assembly was performed by Gertraud Burger (Department of Biochemistry, Université de Montréal, Montreal, Canada).
