Study: Sequencing of Pseudomonas fuscovaginae DAR77795 isolated from rice
show Abstracthide Abstract
Bacterial plant pathogens play an important role in the reduction of yield and quality traits in rice. Pseudomonas fuscovaginae, the causal agent of bacterial brown sheath rot, and has been described from all rice growing regions of the world. In addition, this bacterium has a wide host range which includes other cereals. Whole genome sequencing and the subsequent comparative analysis of various world strains will assist in determining how virulence is determined on different hosts and how this pathogen has changed over time
