Summary: Analysis of embryonic day 18.5 livers lacking hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha (HNF4alpha). Cre/lox system used to knock out Hnf4a in liver. HNF4alpha is a nuclear hormone transcription factor. Results provide insight into the role of HNF4alpha in hepatogenesis.
