Summary:
(Critical) This module illustrates a token economy at a residential school for retarded children. Token exchange and the input of multiple therapists are related to the stages in the development of social skills and their extension to the outside community. An overview of the fundamentals of this structure is presentedd logically, but the underlying principles of the token economy demand a more detailed explanation. The production integrates clear illustration and good audio; however, an artificial mechanical quality pervades which is distinctly lacking in humane attitudes towards the subjects. The material is recommended for limited use only as a cursory introduction to this topic.
