Summary:
This film reviews the neurophysiology of the peripheral reflexes and the techniques for eliciting them during routine neurological examination. It illustrates the phenomena of hyperreflexia with mass reflex, and the Babinski, Chaddock, Oppenheim, Schafer, Rossolima, Mendel-Bechterew, and Hoffmann's signs. The film also shows reflex alterations in tabes dorsalie, encephalitis, muscular dystrophy, and cordotomy.
