Total RNA of normal and CRC tissue was isolated using the mirVana miRNA Isolation Kit (Ambion/ Applied Biosystems, Darmstadt, Germany) according to the manufacturer’s instruction. To digest DNA, the samples were treated with DNAse of the Turbo DNA-free kit (Ambion). RNA quality was assessed in a 1.5% agarose gel and concentrations of the samples were measured in a NanoDrop 2000 (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, USA). RNAs were stored at -80°C.
