Cells were cultured to 80% confluence and then treated for 48h with 500μM L-Hcy to mimic severe HHcy seen in homocystinuria patients with CBS deficiencyvor with control medium.

Growth protocol |
HAEC were grown in M199 medium (Thermo Scientific, Waltham, MA) containing 20% fetal calf serum (Thermo Scientific), 50μg/mL endothelial cell growth supplement (BD Biosciences, San Jose, CA), and 50μg/mL heparin. Cells from passage 6 were used for experiments.
