Treatment protocol |
THP-1 cells were stimulated with LPS (100ng/mL) or TGFβ1 (1ng/mL) or LPS and TGFβ1 for 24 hrs and kept in an CO2 injecting incubator. As a control PBS was added to the cells.

Growth protocol |
THP-1 cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 medium containing 50mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 100 U/ml penicillin, 100 μg/ml streptomycin, and 5% FBS. Monocytes, in a density of 2*10^6 cells/4 mL were starved O/N prior to stimulation in medium containing 0.1% FCS.
