treated with: none (untreated control)
treatment time: 1 hour
chip antibody: rabbit anti-GR polyclonal antibody (Thermo Fisher Scientific, PA1-511A)
Treatment protocol Cells were starved overnight in medium without additives and then stimulated with DEX (d) or the combination of epidermal growth factor (EGF) + DEX (ed) for the indicated time intervals (minutes) before sequencing
Growth protocol MCF10A cells were cultured as described (Tarcic et al., 2012) in DME:F12 medium (Gibco BRL, Grand Island, NY) supplemented with 10 µg ml-1 insulin, 0.1 µg ml-1 cholera toxin, 0.5 µg ml-1 hydrocortison, 5% heat-inactivated horse serum (Biological Industries, Beit-Haemek, Israel) and 10 ng ml-1 EGF.
Extracted molecule genomic DNA
Extraction protocol Cell fixation and chromatin immunoprecipitation were performed as described (Blecher-Gonen et al., 2013)
Library construction and sequencing were performed as described (Blecher-Gonen et al., 2013)

Library strategy ChIP-Seq
Library source genomic
Library selection ChIP
Instrument model Illumina HiSeq 2000

Data processing Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) sequencing reads were mapped to the hg19 genome assembly using Bowtie2 (Langmead and Salzberg, 2012)
Genome_build: hg19
Supplementary_files_format_and_content: Tag read densities were generated by the makeTagDirectory from the Homer suite
