Extraction protocol Total exosomal RNA was extracted using the HiPure Serum/Plasma miRNA Kit (Magen R4317). RNA quality was assessed with the Qubit 3.0 (Thermo Scientific, Rockford, IL, USA) and the Agilent 2200 TapeStation. The NEBNext® Ultra™ RNA Library Prep Kit (Beverly, MA, USA) for Illumina was used to prepare an RNA-seq library. Finally, library sequencing was conducted on an Illumina HiSeq™ 3000 system.

Genome_build: Sequence data were mapped to a human reference genome hg19 with TopHat v2.0.13. gfold v1.1.2 was subsequently employed to count the number of reads mapped to each gene.
Supplementary_files_format_and_content: Differential expression was assessed via DEGseq using RPKM as the input. DEGs were chosen according to the criteria of a > 2-fold change and adjusted P-value < 0.05.
