Title |
VDR knockout (KO) keratinocytes |
Sample type |
RNA |
|
|
Source name |
keratinocyte
|
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Characteristics |
age: 3 month genotype: VDR fl/fl K14 driven Cre tissue: skin cell type: keratinocyte
|
Treatment protocol |
Keratinocytes were isolated from the skin accoding to the method previously described (Section 3.3 Nowarks JA Fuchs E Mol Biol. 2009 ; 482: 215–232). Briefly, excised skin was incubated with 0.25% trypsin and epidermis was separated from dermis. Keratinocytes were then isolated from the epidermis.
|
Growth protocol |
VDR is removed from keratin 14 (K14) expressing keratinocytes by using Crelox stragety and maintained in low calcium diet to suppress compensation pathways
|
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was isolated from keratinocytes using Pico Pure RNA purification kit (ABI).
