Title |
Epidermis, separated from VDR knockout (KO) skin |
Sample type |
RNA |
|
|
Source name |
Skin, epidermis separated from dermis by diapase treatment of the back skin
|
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Characteristics |
age: P5 genotype: VDR fl/fl Cre K14 driven strain: C57BL6 tissue: skin
|
Treatment protocol |
K14CreVDR KO mice and their littermate control mice at P5 were sacrified. The genotypes were determined by extacting tail DNA by using PCR. The back skin was excised from mice and treated with dispase. The epidermis was separated from dermis. RNA was extracted from epidermis of each mice. The gene expression for specific genes were evaluated by reverse transcription and QPCR to confirm that the variation of gene expression is small within the group. The RNA was combined from 3 mice for CON and VDR KO group.

Growth protocol |
Vitamin D receptor (VDR) is removed from keratin 14 (K14) expressing keratinocytes by using Crelox stragety
|
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
RNA was extracted with Stat60 reagent, followed by clean-up and DNase I treatment with QIAGEN RNeasy mini kit in accordance with the prescribed protocol provided with the kit. Quality control was performed with Agilent Bioanalyser.
