Title Whole brain of neonatal female mice treated with testosterone propionate, replica of 01_Female_TPplus
Sample type RNA

Source name neonatal female mice brains, testosterone propionate injection, replica
Organism Mus musculus
Characteristics gender: Female
tissue: Whole brain
treatment: testosterone propionate injection
strain: C57BL/6
Treatment protocol We prepared neonatal mice (C57BL/6J) injected intraperitoneally with TP (1mg in 20uL sesame oil per mice) and vehicle control (sesame oil only 20uL per mice) at postnatal 2 day (at the period of mice brain sex differentiation) and obtained mRNA from these mice whole brain at postnatal 6day.
Growth protocol Healthy grown neonatal C57BL/6 mice were used.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Trizol extraction of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Label biotin
Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA were prepared using the GeneChip 3'IVT Express Kit (Affymetrix).

Hybridization protocol Labeled samples were hybridized to the microarrays according to the manufacturer’s protocol with Affymetrix Hybridization Oven 640. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.
Scan protocol Scanning was preformed as described elsewhere (Irizarry et al, Nucleic Acids Res 31, e15, 2003), using Affymetrix GeneArray Scanner 3000 7G with GCOS software.
Description Gene expression data from pooled RNA obtained from whole brains obtained from six neonatal female mice treated with testosterone propionate by intraperitoneal injection, replica of 01
Data processing The intensity data was background-subtracted and normalized with the robust multi-array analysis (RMA; Irizarry et al. Nucleic Acids Res 31(4): e15, 2003) via R/Bioconductor affy 1.28.1 package using default analysis settings.
