Growth protocol ms1 pistils (100 per collection) were either collected at stage 14 without pollination, or pollinated at 9am with respective genotypes and allowed to grow for 8 hours

Extraction protocol Total RNA was extracted using the RNeasy kit (Qiagen), The yield and RNA purity were determined by Nano-Drop (Thermo Scientific), and RNA integrity was checked using an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies)

Label protocol 100 ng total RNA was amplified using Affymetrix 3' IVT express kit according to manufacturers instructions.
 
Hybridization protocol 10 ug fragmented IVT cRNA was hybridized overnight at 45 Cat 60 rpm to Arabidopsis ATH1 arrays
Scan protocol Arrays were scanned using Affymetrix 3000 G7 scanner
Description gene expression data from pistils pollinated by myb triple mutant (myb97-1, myb101-4, myb120-3) pollen 8 hours
Data processing Quality control was performed using Expression Console, differential gene expression was detected using Partek Genomics Suite and RMA was used for normalization
