Title |
Implication of VSMC heterogeneity among arterial beds in vascular calcification |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Transcriptome analysis of human primary smooth muscle cells from different arterial beds (abdominal and thoracic aorta, carotid and femoral and infrapopliteal arteries).
|
|
|
Overall design |
Smooth muscle cells were isolated from non atheromatous peripheral arteries from deceased organ donors. Allografts were obtained from the following arterial locations; carotid artery, thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta, common femoral aorta, infrapopliteal artery. RNA was extracted from 2 samples for each arterial bed and hybridized to microarrays.
